FocusHound
Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and 3 Step Chef LLC (“we”), the maker of FocusHound. By downloading or using FocusHound, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
FocusHound is a productivity app for iPhone. It can limit access to apps you choose, using Apple’s Screen Time framework, and it includes automated features that may use artificial intelligence. You decide how to set it up, you can change it at any time, and you can turn off its Screen Time access in iOS Settings. It is a tool, not a guarantee of any result.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13, and either old enough to enter a contract where you live or using FocusHound with a parent’s permission. Install it only on a device you own or control, and use it only to manage your own apps.
Subscriptions
FocusHound is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store, with a free trial where offered. The price and the renewal period are shown before you subscribe. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel it. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple’s terms.
Automated features
Some features produce results automatically, including with artificial intelligence. Those results can be wrong, are not professional or business advice, and are not a promise about your work, your projects, or your income. You are responsible for what you do with them.
Your content
You keep ownership of anything you enter or submit in the app. You give us permission to process it, including through our service providers, solely to provide the app’s features. Do not submit anything illegal or anything you have no right to share.
Our property
FocusHound, including its name, logo, design, text, software, and the way its features work, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these terms and Apple’s usage rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or extract the source of the app, or use it to build a competing product.
Fair use
Do not misuse the service: no automated or excessive requests, no interference with our systems, and no use that breaks the law or anyone’s rights. We may suspend access for misuse.
No warranty
FocusHound is provided as is. It depends on Apple’s software, your settings, your device, and your network, none of which we control. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any limit will apply exactly as expected.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of FocusHound. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Ending things
You can stop using FocusHound at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting the app. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.
Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to support or maintain the app and is not responsible for any claim relating to it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use FocusHound after a change means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes go to the courts there, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
